Add other Riverside recordings, edits, uploads, music, videos, AI voice, or empty sections to your recording. This media is added into the recording timeline itself. To add media on top of your recording, see steps on adding text overlays, image overlays, and music overlays.

Step by step
Add media to your recording by following the steps below, either by using the transcript or the timeline.
Before you add your media, make sure it meets our external file requirements.

Add media using the transcript

Log in to your Riverside account.

Open a recording in the editor or upload an external file to start editing.

Go to the transcript.
- On the transcript, hover between paragraphs and click the + plus icon.
- Or, at the top or bottom of the transcript, click Add +.

Select a media type: recordings, edits, uploads, music, AI voice, or an empty section.
The new media is added to your recording timeline.- To add an image, add an image overlay on top of the empty space.

Add media using the timeline
- Log in to your Riverside account.
- Open a recording in the editor or upload an external file to start editing.
- On the timeline, make a split, or click between two sections.
- Hover your cursor where the two sections meet and click the + plus icon.
- Or, at the beginning or end of the timeline, click the + plus icon.
- Select a media type: recordings, edits, uploads, music, AI voice, or an empty section.
The new media is added to your recording timeline.- To add an image, add an image overlay on top of the empty space.
