Live stream to scheduled LinkedIn live event

Live stream your Riverside recording session to a scheduled LinkedIn post. You can also immediately live stream to LinkedIn.

Step by step 

  1. Using a computer, sign in to your LinkedIn account.
  2. Go to the LinkedIn Live page .
  3. Under New Stream, select Schedule for later.
    LinkedIn only generates the Stream Key and Stream URL one hour before the scheduled start time. 
  4. Enter the desired time for the live stream.
  5. Under Create a post, enter a description and title.
  6. In the upper right corner, click Schedule stream.

  7. One hour before the event's scheduled time, go to the Manage streams page.
  8. Next to the live stream event, click Prepare to go live.

  9. Under the Stream settings tab, pick a nearby region.
  10. Click Get URL.
  11. Copy the Stream URL and the Stream Key.
    • You must generate a new Stream Key for LinkedIn each time you do a live stream or refresh the page.

  12. Paste each in the Riverside Studio's settings under LinkedIn.

  13. For all sites you do not plan to stream to, click the toggle off toggle-off-grey_36x24.svg .
  14. In the Studio Settings, in the General section, set the Studio privacy to Public.
  15. In the Riverside Studio, click Record to start the live stream.
  16. Check the LinkedIn Live page for the Preview of the video stream.
  17. In the top right corner of LinkedIn, click Go live to start the Live Video event.
    It takes about 20 seconds for the video to appear on LinkedIn.

Step by step - beta version 

  1. Using a computer, sign in to your LinkedIn account.
  2. Go to the LinkedIn Live page .
  3. Under New Stream, select Schedule for later.

  9. Under the Stream settings tab, pick a nearby region.
  10. Click Get URL.
  11. Copy the Stream Key.

  12. On Riverside, open the Custom RTMP live stream settings.
  13. In the Stream Key field, paste the Stream Key.

  14. On LinkedIn, copy the Stream URL.
  15. On Riverside, in the Stream URL field, paste the Stream URL.
  16. Click Add.
  17. When it's time for the event, click Go live to start the live stream.
  18. Check the LinkedIn Live page for the Preview of the video stream.
  19. In the top right corner of LinkedIn, click Go live to start the Live Video event.
    It takes about 20 seconds for the video to appear on LinkedIn.
