Recording with Riverside is optimized for all internet speeds, although we recommend using a connection with an overall upload speed faster than 5,000 kbps (kilobits per second).
To check your internet bandwidth, run a pre-call diagnostic test in your computer or mobile device's browser.
NOTE:
This pre-call test also checks the camera and mic connected to your computer or built in to the device.
Step by step:
- Load the Pre-call Test page in your browser.
- Click Run Test.
NOTE:
The page displays Pre-call test is running.
You may see a prompt to allow the test to access your camera or microphone.
- Click Allow.
The test runs for about 30-50 seconds and then displays The pre-call test is complete. - Scroll to Expected Call Quality.
- Under Video Quality, look for Video Bitrate.
The Video Bitrate value should be above 1,500 kbps
