Most laptops have a built-in webcam and many people use these to record video on Riverside.
However, external cameras generally have a higher resolution and even better clarity than built-in webcams. Some external cameras frequently used by creators on Riverside are below:
- Logitech C920s HD Pro Webcam
- Up to 1080p resolution.

NOTE:
High resolution video can sometimes become unstable due to the limits of a computer's processing power. When this happens, video frames are dropped and the video looks choppy. To ensure smooth video recordings, Riverside records at 1080p by default with certain 4K video cameras, such as the Logitech Brio.
