Riverside saves your local recording in your browser's temporary storage. If you are experiencing issues with the recording and upload process, try using Riverside in a new profile in your browser. Follow the steps below.
NOTE:
Each Chrome profile has its own dedicated storage space and is a 'blank slate' without bookmarks or browser extensions.
Step by step (Google Chrome)
- Using Google Chrome on a computer, click the round profile icon in the upper-right corner.
- At the bottom of the menu, click + Add.
- In the 'Set up your new Chrome profile' window, click Continue without an account.
- Type in a name for the new profile (such as 'Riverside Recording') and choose a theme color.
- Click Done.
A new profile is created in your browser.
Step by step (Microsoft Edge)
- Using Microsoft Edge on a computer, click the round profile icon in the upper-right corner.
- At the bottom of the menu, click
Add Profile.
- Click Add.
- In the new window, click Start without your data.
- Click Confirm and start browsing.
- Click Finish.
A new profile is created in your browser.
TIP: Rename profile in Edge
Edge does not prompt you to name the profile when you create it. To rename the profile afterward, click the profile icon in the upper-right corner, then click Manage profile settings. Click the three dot menu [...], then click Edit.
