On the mobile app, I see 'Studio isn't live yet' or 'Private Studio'

When you tap a Studio Access link on your mobile device, it should open a browser page with a link to open the Riverside mobile app. After connecting to the desired Studio to record, you should see the Host and any other Guests.

Troubleshooting for:

  • The Riverside mobile app says Studio isn't live yet..., Live stream locked, or Private Studio
  • Cannot see other people
  • Cannot turn on mic or camera to record in app

You may have joined the Studio as an Audience member rather than a recorded Guest or a Producer. You can try fixing the invite link yourself, or follow the steps below to request a new link.

Suggested Troubleshooting Steps

If you received a Studio invite link or tapped a link in a calendar event

  1. Ask the Host or Producer to send the Studio access link again, but as plain text, like in the body of a new email or as a text message.
  2. Copy the plain text link.
  3. Paste the plain text link in the address bar of your mobile browser.
  4. Tap Go to open the link.
  5. Tap Join studio via app to open the Studio.
The Riverside mobile app launches and connects to the Studio.

If you received a Studio email invite from Riverside

  1. Ask the Host or Producer to generate a Studio Access link and send it as plain text, like in the body of a new email or as a text message.
  2. Copy the plain text link.
  3. Paste the plain text link in the address bar of your mobile browser.
  4. Tap Go to open the link.
  5. Tap Join studio via app to open the Studio.
The Riverside mobile app launches and connects to the Studio.

If you were expecting to watch the recording session as a live stream

  1. Ask the Host or Producer to change the Studio from Private to Public for audience members.
