What is the resolution of live streaming video from Riverside to other platforms?
All live streams on external platforms have a maximum resolution of 720p.

No, the chat in the Riverside Studio is not shown to viewers watching a live stream from another platform.

Which participants appear in a live stream?
Any participant with their camera on will appear in the live stream, including Producers. If a participant's mic is enabled, they can be heard.

What do people watching the live stream see and can I customize it?
Viewers see the participants' video tracks arranged in a gallery view, similar to the All Participants Backup recording file.

How do screen shares or Media Board videos appear in a live stream?
The screen share expands and participants' videos move to the side. Media Board videos do not automatically expand.

Does a presentation file uploaded to the Studio appear in a live stream?
No, for now, a slide deck uploaded to the Studio is not included in your live stream broadcast, but anyone who joins the Studio as an Audience member can see it.

Can the Host control which video frame is expanded in the live stream?
Not directly. Video frames resize to fit all participants. If some participants temporarily turn their cameras off, the remaining video frame/s in the live stream appear larger.

How long is the delay between the recording in the Studio and the live stream people see?
The latency is generally around 20 seconds but varies based on the other platform's settings.

Can I live stream from a mobile device?
Yes. You can set up the Stream URL and Key from a computer. Then the Studio's feed broadcasts whenever you start a recording, including from your mobile device.

Which platforms require a new Stream Key between sessions?
Facebook and LinkedIn require you to generate a new Stream Key between sessions.

Can I live stream to multiple platforms simultaneously?
Yes, you can stream to multiple platforms at the same time.

Yes, you can stream to two or more different accounts on the same platform by using the Studio's other live stream fields.

Yes, you can stream to two or more other platforms that use RTMP.

Other Custom RTMP Platforms

Can I set up a Facebook live stream using the Meta Business Suite?
Yes – the 'Live streaming' button is on its 'All tools' menu and lets you access the same 'Create live video' page that Facebook has.

Can I live stream to Instagram or Discord using Custom RTMP?
Only by using other software. We do not recommend live streaming to Instagram since your participants' video frames may be cropped out of the vertical video.

Can I live stream to TikTok using Custom RTMP?
Most TikTok users cannot use RTMP to live stream. We do not recommend live streaming to TikTok since your participants' video frames may be cropped out of the vertical video.

Can I live stream to a Twitter Space or Telegram?
Not at this time. Live streaming from Riverside uses RTMP and Twitter Spaces use a proprietary system. Telegram is also not supported.
