How should I configure my firewall to connect to Riverside?

Troubleshooting for:

  • Connecting to the Riverside Studio
  • Uploading your locally-recorded track

To record with Riverside, your device must be able to communicate with our servers. Most people do not encounter any issues, but you may need to adjust your network configuration.

NOTE:
Network firewalls are common in corporate and academic environments. You may have to contact your IT/system administrator to configure rules that allow the network's outbound traffic to specific websites via ports and to approved domains.

Configuration Options

  1. Turn off your computer's personal firewall:
  2. If the firewall cannot be temporarily disabled, then configure it to open TCP ports 443 and 80, and open UDP ports 443 and 3478.
  3. If using Windows Firewall, add *.riverside.fm to the whitelist of approved domains.
  4. If you are using an institutional or corporate firewall or have other security protocols on your network, we recommend whitelisting these addresses so your device can connect to Riverside.
