What are constant frame rate (CFR) video files?

Constant Frame Rate (CFR) video files are tracks that are designed for editing on video software. These files are encoded to stay synchronized with other CFR tracks, making it easy to edit the video.

Participants' high quality video tracks recorded in a computer browser use a constant frame rate, for both the Raw video track and the Raw synced video track formats.

IMPORTANT:
Recording tracks created using the Riverside mobile app are not yet available as CFR video files.
The tracks created when a participant shares their screen or plays files on the Media Board sometimes use a variable frame rate (VFR) for a smaller file size, as do internet Backup recordings.
