« To Video tracks layout and formatting in the editor: Overview
Follow the steps below to rearrange participants' video tracks in the Editor.
We recommend using Smart Scenes first to quickly and accurately apply dynamic layouts to your recording, and then arranging the video tracks.
Plan: All plans
Device: Computer browser
Please note:
This feature is in beta and is being released gradually to Riverside users.
Step by step
- Log in to your Riverside account.
- Open a recording in the editor or upload an external file to start editing.
- Click the timeline to move the playhead to a spot with multiple participants.
- On the recording canvas, click on the video participant track you want to move.
- Drag the selected video track to the tile you want to switch it with.
Both video tracks have a purple frame indicating which tiles switch.
At the top of the page, click Undo to revert the change.
If you used Smart Scenes or added your own scene to the timeline, the video track arrangement appears only for the scene you applied it to. Otherwise, if your video doesn't have any scenes, the video track arrangement applies to the entire recording.
Additional layout changes
You can make additional changes to further customize your video:
- Choose whether to include spacing for gaps and customize corners (round or square) between the video frames.
- Apply layouts to individual video tracks (mirror, fill, hide).
- Add a new scene to change the video layout for a particular segment of the video.
