Add a background frame in editor

Add an image or color behind your video frames. You can upload your own background graphic, use one of our built-in images, or change the background you added while recording in the studio.

Step by step

  1. Log in to your Riverside account.
  2. Open a recording in the editor or upload an external file to start editing.
  1. From the editor toolbar, click Brand.

  2. Click Design.

  3. Next to Background, click + to choose an existing image.
    Or click Upload to select a file from your device.

  4. In the toolbar at the side of the Editor, click brand.png Brand.
  5. In the tab, panel, under Background, click the plus-circle.svg plus button.
  6. In the Image tab, choose an existing image.
    • Or click Upload to use a custom graphic from your computer.
      Your custom graphic must be a JPG or PNG image file.
  7. To add a color instead of an image: In the Color tab, use the spectrum color picker or add a hex code. 

Custom file dimensions

For best results, use an image that matches the video's aspect ratio so it fills the frame:
