« to Riverside editor: Overview
Add an image or color behind your video frames. You can upload your own background graphic, use one of our built-in images, or change the background you added while recording in the studio.
Step by step
- Log in to your Riverside account.
- Open a recording in the editor or upload an external file to start editing.

From the editor toolbar, click Brand.

Click Design.

Next to Background, click the + plus icon

Choose an existing image
Or click Upload to select a file from your device. Your custom graphic must be a JPG or PNG image file.
The Design applies across the entire timeline. - To add a color instead of an image: Click the Color tab, use the spectrum color picker or add a hex code.
Custom file dimensions
For best results, use an image that matches the video's aspect ratio so it fills the frame:
