Add a background frame in Editor

Add an image or color behind your video frames. You can upload your own background graphic, use one of our built-in images, or change the background you added while recording in the studio.

Step by step

  1. Log in to your Riverside account.
  2. Open a recording in the editor or upload an external file to start editing.
  1. In the toolbar at the side of the Editor, click brand.png Brand.
  2. In the tab, panel, under Background, click the plus-circle.svg plus button.
  3. In the Image tab, choose an existing image.
    • Or click Upload to use a custom graphic from your computer.
      Your custom graphic must be a JPG or PNG image file.
  4. To add a color instead of an image: In the Color tab, use the spectrum color picker or add a hex code. 

Custom file dimensions

For best results, use an image that matches the video's aspect ratio so it fills the frame:
