Add a Background Graphic to Frame a Recorded Video

Follow the steps below to add a custom graphic behind your clip's video frames in the Editor or use one of Riverside's built-in image options. Be sure to also adjust the layout to include gaps between the videos' frames.

Step by step

  1. On a computer, log in to your Riverside account.
  2. Under Studios, click the relevant Studio.
  3. Click the relevant recording.
  4. In the top right corner, click Go to editor.
Or scroll to Clips and click a clip with a Draft or magic-spark-icon.svg Magic Clip label.
  1. In the toolbar at the top of the Editor, click background_icon-color.png Background.
  2. In the Background panel, click plus.svg (the plus button).
  3. Pick the image file and click upload.

Your custom graphic must be a JPG or PNG image file. For best results, use an image that matches the clip's aspect ratio so it fills the video frame without getting stretched.
