Connect external mic to your mobile device: Overview

Please note: Some external USB-C mics are not compatible with iOS 17 on the iPad.

When you record with the Riverside app on a mobile device, we recommend one of the following ways in the table below to connect a microphone, depending on your device.

Additionally, you can always test your microphone's compatibility with Riverside.
