« to Best Recording Practices: Overview
If your Android device has its microphone sensitivity too low or too high, follow the steps below to troubleshoot it.
NOTE:
Android devices do not have a specific way to adjust audio input level for the built-in mic. Details on connecting an external mic are here.
Third-party Android apps using the mic can change the behavior of the microphone. Follow the steps below to check which apps have permission to change the microphone.
Step by step – Check if other apps are changing the microphone
- Open Settings.
- Tap Apps.
- Scroll to Permissions.
- Tap Microphone.
- Allow or Deny microphone access to third-party apps as needed.
- Restart the device and check the input volume level.
IMPORTANT:
A Host or Producer can adjust a participant's output volume to balance the sound during the live call, but this does not change the audio signal that is recorded.
