I hear an echo in the Studio – how can I fix it?

If you hear participants' voices echoing during a Studio session, one person’s microphones may be picking up the sound of all unmuted participants in the Studio itself. Their device is feeding those sounds back to everyone, which creates the echo.

Take these steps to reduce the echo:

  1. Confirm that all participants are wearing headphones and not using speakers.
  2. In the Studio's sidebar, enable individual Echo Cancellation for each participant, one at a time, to determine if one is the source of the audio feedback.
TIP:
Often, the participant whose voice is not echoing is the source of the audio feedback and needs Echo Cancellation.
NOTE:
When Echo Cancellation is enabled for an individual participant’s audio in the Studio, it is also applied to their locally recorded High Quality Track.
