The live video of participants that they see in the Studio has a lower resolution than the locally recorded separate tracks created during the recording session. In the Studio, participants see each other's live video feeds up to a 720p resolution. This helps limit the bandwidth needed for your conversation while each person's device automatically records them.
Video quality adapts based on your internet connection during a live call.
Participants' video frames are sometimes cropped during the live call so each person is visible. The locally recorded separate tracks use the full frame picture available to the device (usually 16:9 widescreen).
Change the default video quality of local recordings in the Recording section of a Studio's settings.
