Why do I need to turn off my VPN, browser extensions, or firewall when I record?

We want your Studio experience to be smooth and the recordings you create to be high quality. Certain security and content blocking utilities can block your computer from connecting to the Riverside Studio or add audio/video flaws to your recording file. They may also prevent your local track from uploading.

If you use these, we recommend that you temporarily turn them off before you begin recording. If you cannot disable or remove them, be sure to conduct a test recording and check the results. You can also try to 'whitelist' Riverside, for instance, by opening specific ports of your firewall.

Although your browser's Incognito or InPrivate mode doesn't have browser extensions or content blockers, the mode has limited temporary storage space. Your recording may not save and upload correctly.
