You may need to adjust the studio’s frame rate depending on your lighting setup and geographic location and the rest of your post-production workflow.
When using a computer, all participants record at a frame rate of 24 FPS (frames per second).
On a Riverside Business plan, you can change the studio to record video tracks at 25 FPS or 29.97 FPS on a computer. This change also applies to the frame rate of screen share recordings in the macOS app.

From the dashboard
- Log in to your Riverside account.
- Click the desired Production.
- In the list on the left, hover over a Studio and click ••• [the three dots].
- On the menu, choose
Settings.
- Scroll to the Recording section and find
Participant video recording.
- Next to Frame rate, click 24 FPS, 25 FPS, or 29.97 FPS.
Future recordings in this studio use the new frame rate.
From the studio
You can only change the FPS of your video before recording.
- Join a studio session as the Host or as a Producer.

At the top of the page, click
- Click Recording.
- Scroll to
- Next to Frame rate, click 24 FPS, 25 FPS, or 29.97 FPS.
Future recordings in this studio use the new frame rate.
This setting changes the frame rate of the Raw video and Aligned video high-quality track files. Videos exported from the editor are always in 24 FPS, despite the studio's FPS setting.
Note that mobile devices always record at their max FPS by default. However you can change frame rate settings within your mobile device's settings (see how for iOS). Additionally, you cannot change the FPS for screen share recordings on the computer.
If your device's FPS settings do not match exactly with Riverside's, select the setting on your device that is closest to Riverside's FPS options.
