Change video frame size in the Studio (show full 16:9 video)

Choose how everyone's video is displayed in the Studio, either with their video zoomed-in to fill their entire video frame or their full (16:9) video.

Please note:

We are gradually releasing updates to our Studio branding features. If you see brand.png at the top of your studio, scroll to the bottom of the article for the beta version steps.

Step by step

  1. Log in to your Riverside account.
  2. In the ☰ menu on the left, hover over the Studio, and click ••• [the three dots].
  3. Click Go to Studio.
  4. On the Lobby page, enter your details and click Join Studio.
  1. At the top of the page, click  Settings.
  2. Click general_sliders.svg General.
  3. Next to Video layout, click Centered or Full frame.
    • Centered shows everyone's video frame slightly zoomed-in, cropped, and centered to fill their entire video frame.
    • Full frame shows everyone's full (16:9) video.

This only changes how you see each other in the studio. Your recorded files are always captured in full frame (16:9).

Step by step - beta version 

  1. Log in to your Riverside account.
  2. In the ☰ menu on the left, hover over the Studio, and click ••• [the three dots].
  3. Click Go to Studio.
  4. On the Lobby page, enter your details and click Join Studio.
  1. At the top of the page, click the brand.png Brand icon.
  2. In the Brand sidebar, next to Video frame, click Fill or Fit.
    Your video frame changes to the video frame type you select.
    • Fill shows everyone's video frame slightly zoomed-in, cropped, and centered to fill their entire video frame.
    • Full frame shows everyone's full (16:9) video. Group 6746.png

This only changes how you see each other in the studio. Your recorded files are always captured in full frame (16:9).
