Configure Google Chrome to display English text captions automatically when recording in Riverside or watching a live stream.
If you are not using Chrome as your browser, you can also enable live captions on Windows or macOS.

Step by step
- On your computer, open the Chrome browser.
- At the right of the address bar, click ⋮ (the more icon).
- On the menu, click Settings.
- On the left side of the Settings page, click Accessibility.
- Next to Live Caption, click the toggle to enable it.
Any media that plays in Chrome includes live captions overlays.
Only people who enable Live Caption in their own Chrome settings can see them, it does not show for others in the Studio.
Chrome generates captions of other participants' speech in the Studio, but does not show you captions for what you speak.
These captions are not captured in the recorded video. However, you can add captions in the editor or download the transcript.
