Add Markers while Recording

When you hear a great moment of conversation in the Studio, add a marker. After the recording session, we automatically generate a draft clip at each marker inside the Editor so you can easily share the excerpt. Follow the steps below to add markers as you record.

Step by step:

  1. Join a Studio on a computer.
    You can only add markers after the Host starts the recording.
  2. At the bottom of the Studio, click Mark to add a marker.
    A notification will appear on screen with the marker's timestamp.
Press M on your keyboard to add a marker.

Markers automatically generate new draft clips you can export. The draft clips are 30 seconds long, and include the 15 seconds before and after your Marker. You can adjust the clip's duration in the Editor's timeline. The Markers appear in the Editor as blue dots and you can use them as reference points when editing additional clips.

Users on a Riverside Teams plan can include the markers when exporting their recording to Adobe Premiere Pro.
