Enable Background Noise Reduction

Enable a Studio's Noise Reduction to filter out constant background noise like a participant's loud computer fan or air conditioner. The audio is filtered immediately in the Studio and on all participants' recorded tracks. Follow the steps below to enable Noise Reduction for a Studio session.

Noise reduction is applied to the audio of all participants. We recommend leaving it on during a recording unless participants are in a soundproofed environment. For the best audio isolation results, be sure that all participants wear headphones. When you export a clip in post-production, you can also add additional processing to Remove Background Noise.

Step by step (in the Studio)

  1. Using a computer, log in to your account.
  2. Join a Studio as a Host.
  3. In the sidebar on the right, click the Studio tab.
  4. In Recording Overview, click the toggle next to for Noise reduction for all.
Noise reduction is added or removed for all participants.
Noise Reduction can only be changed before or after recording. If the toggle is grey, first stop the current recording.

Step by step (when not in the Studio)

  1. Using a computer, log in to your account.
  2. Access a Studio's settings by clicking the Settings (gear) icon.
  3. In the Recording section, scroll to Audio.
  4. Next to Use noise reduction, click the toggle.
The next recording will have noise reduction enabled or removed.
