Open a recording in the editor

Use Riverside's robust editor to turn your recording into engaging content to share. Follow the steps below to begin editing your recording, or upload an external file to edit.

From the projects dashboard

Open a single recording in the editor

  1. On a computer, log in to your Riverside account.
  2. In the ☰ menu on the left, click the relevant studio.
  3. Under Projects, click on a project to work on.
    Or start a new project.
  4. At the top left of the page, hover over a relevant recording.
  5. Choose between Edit  to begin editing the original recording
    Or magic-spark-icon.svgCreate with AI to create a Magic Clip or Full Episode.
    The editor opens with your new clip for you to start creating your content.

Open all recordings in the editor

  1. On a computer, log in to your Riverside account.
  2. In the ☰ menu on the left, click the relevant studio.
  3. Under Projects, click on a project to work on.
  4. In the top left, under the project title, click Edit to combine all the recordings within this project into the editor. 

If you don't see the recordings you want included in the editor, you can either move a recording or upload an external media file into the current project.

From the mobile app

Riverside is excited to be releasing new features to our Mobile Editor. Currently, you can trim, cut, and add captions.

Please note:
This feature is in beta and is being released gradually to Riverside users.

Step by step

  1. On your mobile device, open your iOS or Android app.
  2. In the top left corner, click the letter to open the studio side panel.
  3. Tap on the relevant studio. 
  4. Tap on the recording.
  5. In the center of the screen, click Create new edit.
    Or under Edits, click on one of your drafts you've already begun working on.
