Export and download an edit or clip

Export and download your edited recording as an audio or video file to easily distribute it across different platforms. You can choose the video or audio quality, balance sound levels, and reduce unwanted background noise.

  • Steps on a computer

    1. Log in to your Riverside account.
    2. Open a recording in the editor or upload an external file to start editing.
    3. In the top right corner of the editor, click Export.
    4. In the Export Options panel:
      Choose between Video or Audio.
      Select Video or Audio quality.
      Toggle Hide watermark to remove the watermark from the exported video.
      Toggle Normalize audio levels to balance sound levels.
      Toggle Remove background noise to reduce unwanted background noise.
    5. Click Export video or Export audio.
    6. Click Go to exports to view exported edits in your dashboard.
    7. Scroll down to Edits.
    8. Click the relevant clip with the Exported label.
    9. Under the video preview, click the download-track.svg Download icon.
      Your video or audio file is saved to your device.

  • Steps on a phone

    1. Open a recording from the Riverside mobile app.
    2. Tap the Icon.svg  Export icon.
    3. In the Export panel:
      Choose between Video or Audio.
      Select Video or Audio quality.
      Toggle Hide watermark to remove the watermark from the exported video.
      Toggle Remove background noise to reduce unwanted background noise.
      Toggle Normalize audio levels to balance sound levels.
    4. Tap Export Video or Export Audio at the bottom of the screen.
    5. Tap Back to recordings to return to the project.
    6. Under Edits, tap the relevant clip with the Exported label.
    7. Tap Share.
    8. At the bottom of the screen, tap the download-track.svg Download icon.
      Your video or audio file is saved to your device.

  • If more than 7 days have passed since exporting and you are unable to download the file, repeat the steps above.

  • If you want to continue editing while your file is being exported, click Keep editing after step 5 to duplicate the file and continue editing. You receive an email when the media is ready to download.

  • In a Riverside for Business account, only the team member who exports the media receives the email.
