Download transcript of full recording

« To Transcriptions: Overview

After recording in the Studio, you can download the full transcription of your conversation, including the timestamps and any text corrections you make.

You can also save the edited version of the transcript that reflects all the changes you’ve made in the Editor.

  • Steps on a computer

    1. Log in to your Riverside account.
    2. In the ☰ menu on the left, click the relevant studio.
    3. Click the relevant project.
    4. Under Recordings, click on a recording. 
    5. On the recording's page, scroll to Recording files.
    6. To the right of transcript_icon_bk.svg Transcript, click download-track.svg Download.
    7. On the menu, choose one of the two file formats:
      • Transcript (TXT) – for editing and repurposing the text
      • Subtitles (SRT) – for caption playbackDownload-Transcription_recording-files.png
  • Steps on a phone

    Currently, this feature is only available on the iOS app.

    1. Open a recording from the Riverside mobile app.
    2. In the center of the screen, tap View transcript.
    3. At the top right of the screen, tap the Icon.svg export icon.
    4. Save the transcript to your phone; it will be saved as a TXT file.

The full transcription includes all recorded participants whose recording tracks have uploaded and processed.

Transcriptions are not generated for audio played from a screen share, files played on the Media Board, or footage uploaded directly to the Editor.
