Video and Audio File Formats (Overview)

Each time you record a session in the Riverside studio, it creates three kinds of media recordings:

  • High-Quality Tracks: Files recorded locally on each participant's computer or device. These separate files are best for using with editing software.

  • Internet Backups: Files recorded live on the internet. The audio and video quality of these recordings depend on each participant's internet connection.

  • Clips and Combined Recording: The high-quality track files are combined into a single media file using Riverside's Editor. Export clips of any length, from short excerpts to the full session.
