Plan: All Plans
Producers help the host monitor the recording session and can adjust most studio settings. Multiple producers can join a session.
Producers can be seen during the recording session if they have their mic and camera on. Producers are not recorded and are not seen or heard in a live stream on other platforms. However, if a producer shares their screen, uses the media board, or shares a presentation, these elements are recorded as separate tracks.
Producers can join the session in one of two ways, with a Riverside account or without. If you join while not logged in you will still have access to most of the producer capabilities, but not all.
External producers
Only Business plans can invite external producers via email.
External producers enjoy nearly all the same features as producers. They are typically invited as third parties rather than having formal seats in the production team's shared account. If you join a studio using a producer's invitation link, but are not logged into the account, you are considered an External producer.
This is a great way to invite people to join you for a session if they don't have Riverside, without giving them a seat or full access to your account.
For example:
- You've hired a freelance audio engineer to help you run the show
- You are interviewing someone who has their own assistant
- Someone outside of your organization is helping you monitor the session, but you don't necessarily need them to have access to the files after the show.
