Join a studio as an audience member

Join a studio as an audience member to watch a recording session live. You're not recorded, but you can participate in the live chat. If you're on a computer using Chrome or Edge, you can also request a live call-in.

Join a studio

Follow the steps below based on if you're joining from a computer or your mobile device.

  • Join a studio as an audience member from a computer

    1. On your computer, using Chrome or Edge, click Join Session in a studio invite email or click a studio access link.
    2. Enter your name.
    3. Click Enter chat.

  • Join a studio as an audience member from a phone

    1. Download and launch the Riverside iOS app or the Riverside Android app.
    2. Open the invite:
      • If it's a studio invite link, tap the link on your mobile device.
      • If it's in an invite email, open the email on your mobile device and tap Join session.
    3. In the mobile browser page, tap Join studio via app.
      The Riverside app connects to the studio.
    4. Enter your name.
    5. Tap Join.
      Please note

      At this time, if you pre-registered for the session and join using the registration link, you must join from a computer or via the Riverside iOS app.

      To live call-in, you must join from a computer. 

Next steps

Once you've entered the studio as audience member, you can:

  • Watch the recording session live. Once the session begins, you'll see the host and any guests on your screen. 
  • Read and write messages in the chat. Chat is available and visible to everyone in the studio including, the host, guests, producers, and other people watching the stream.
  • Request a live call-in to join the live session and be recorded(only from a computer using Chrome or Edge).
