Add Stream Key and Stream URL to live stream settings

To set up a live stream, first generate a unique Stream URL and Stream Key on each platform you want to stream to, then add them to your Riverside Studio's Settings.

Please note:

We are gradually releasing updates to live stream features. If you see Status=Disabled, Hover=Yes (1).png at the top of your studio, scroll to the bottom of the article for the beta version steps.

Step by step

  1. Log in to your Riverside account.
  2. In the ☰ menu on the left, hover over the Studio, and click the ••• [the three dots].
  3. Choose Settings.
  1. Scroll to Live Stream.
  2. Next to the relevant platform (like YouTube, LinkedIn, Facebook, etc.) click the toggle on toggle-on.svg .
  3. In another tab, open the other platform to stream to.
  4. On that site, locate and copy the Stream URL.
  5. Return to the Riverside Studio's Settings panel and paste the Stream URL.
  6. On the other site, locate and copy the Stream Key.

Step by step - beta version

In addition to the social media platforms you can connect to Riverside, you can also live stream your Riverside recording session to any site that supports RTMP and provides a Stream URL and Stream Key.

  1. Log in to your Riverside account.
  2. In the ☰ menu on the left, hover over the Studio, and click ••• [the three dots].
  3. Click Go to Studio.
  4. On the Lobby page, enter your details and click Join Studio.
  1. At the top of the Studio, click Live Stream off.
  2. Under Stream to social, click ••• [the three dots].
  3. Click Custom RTMP.

  4. In the Add custom service pop-up, in the Name field, enter the name of the site where you are live streaming.
  5. In another tab, open the other platform to stream to.
  6. On that site, locate and copy the Stream URL.
  7. In Riverside, in the Stream URL field, paste the Stream URL.

  8. On the other site, locate and copy the Stream Key.
  9. In Riverside, in the Stream Key field, paste the Stream Key.
  10. Click Add.
  11. Click Go live to start the live stream.
