Live stream your Riverside recording session on X (Twitter) to reach a broader audience.

Please note:

We are gradually releasing updates to live stream features. If you see Status=Disabled, Hover=Yes (1).png at the top of your studio, scroll to the bottom of the article for the beta version steps.

Step by step

  1. Using a computer, log in to your Twitter account.
  2. Go to Twitter Media Studio.
    Please note that Media Studio is an invite-only feature that is not available to all Twitter users.
  3. Click on the Producer tab.
  4. Under Broadcasts, click Create broadcast.
  5. Enter a Broadcast name and Category.
  6. Under Source, select Create a new source.
  7. In the Create source pop-up, enter a Source name like 'Riverside'.
  8. For source type, select RTMP.
  9. Select the Region closest to your location.
  10. From under Source details, copy and paste the RTMP URL and RTMP Stream Key to the Riverside Studio's settings.

  11. On Twitter, click Done.
  12. At the bottom of the Broadcast details window, click Create broadcast.
  13. Scroll to the top of the Broadcast details window.
  14. Under the preview player, click Tweet.
  15. Compose a tweet that shares the live stream and click Tweet.
  16. In the Riverside Studio, start recording to start the live stream feed.

 

Step by step - beta version

  1. Log in to your Riverside account.
  2. In the ☰ menu on the left, hover over the Studio, and click ••• [the three dots].
  3. Click Go to Studio.
  4. On the Lobby page, enter your details and click Join Studio.
  1. At the top of the Studio, click Live Stream off.
  2. Under Stream to social, click the X (Twitter) icon to open the Connect your X (Twitter) account pop-up.

  3. Log in to your Twitter account to retrieve the Stream URL and Stream Key.
  4. Go to Twitter Media Studio.
    Please note that Media Studio is an invite-only feature that is not available to all Twitter users.
  5. Click on the Producer tab.
  6. Under Broadcasts, click Create broadcast.
  7. Enter a Broadcast name and Category.
  8. Under Source, select Create a new source.
  9. In the Create source pop-up, enter a Source name, like 'Riverside'.
  10. For source type, select RTMP.
  11. Select the Region closest to your location.
  12. From under Source details, copy the RTMP URL.

  13. In the Riverside Studio, in the Stream URL field, paste the RTMP URL.
  14. On Twitter, from under Source details, copy the RTMP Stream Key.
  15. In the Riverside Studio, in the Stream Key field, paste the RTMP Stream Key.

  16. Click Add.
  17. On Twitter, click Done.
  18. At the bottom of the Broadcast details window, click Create broadcast.
  19. Scroll to the top of the Broadcast details window.
  20. Under the preview player, click Tweet.
  21. Compose a tweet that shares the live stream and click Tweet.
  22. In the Riverside Studio, add the relevant live stream social media post details
  23. Click Go live to start the live stream feed.
