Live Stream to YouTube

Live stream your Riverside recording session on YouTube to reach a broader audience. 

Before your first live stream, it's important that you:

Step by step:

  1. On a computer, log in to your YouTube account.
  2. At the top of YouTube's homepage, click Create.
  3. Choose Go Live.
  4. In the pop-up window, choose when to go live.
  5. Next to the preferred start option, click Start.
  6. Next to Streaming software, click Go.
  7. In the menu at the left, click Stream.
  8. In the pop-up, indicate whether the video is made for kids and click Save.
  9. Click the Stream Settings tab.
  10. Under Stream key, select Default stream key (RTMP, Variable).

  11. Add the Key and URL back to the Riverside Studio.

  12. Start and Stop the Live Stream on Riverside.
NOTE:
Your stream will be visible on YouTube only after the Host starts the recording in the Studio.

People watching the live stream on YouTube do not see the Riverside Studio's sidebar chat. To see posts in YouTube's chat, open the live stream's page on another device with the video's volume turned off.
