Add video overlays to edited video

Add video layers from a royalty-free library or upload your own to seamlessly integrate dynamic visuals, enhancing your narrative with contextual B-roll and added depth.

Step by step

  1. Log in to your Riverside account.
  2. Open a recording in the editor or upload an external file to start editing.
  1. Move the playhead to the desired position on the timeline.
  2. From the toolbar on the right, click Videos.

  3. In the Videos panel, search the video library by keyword.
    Or click Upload to choose a video file from your computer.

  4. Click a video to add it to your edit.
  5. Adjust the overlay's duration on the timeline.

Edit the video overlay

  1. From the canvas, click the video overlay.
  2. Click and drag the video's nob2.svg corners to resize it or its Nob.svg edges to crop it. 
  3. From the menu above the video overlay:
    • To adjust the volume, click the windows_speakers-volume-2.svg Volume icon and drag the slider.
    • To delete, click the trash.svg Delete icon. 
    • To access additional options, click ••• [the three dots]
      • Copy, paste, duplicate.
