Record in the editor

« to Riverside editor: Overview

Record directly within the editor for a seamless experience. Easily add intros, outros, or short video clips to make quick fixes or enhancements—all in one place.

Step by step

  • Using the toolbar

    1. Log in to your Riverside account.

    2. Open a recording in the editor or upload an external file to start editing.

    3. In the toolbar on the right, click record.png Record.
      This opens the studio that this project belongs to, while keeping the editor open in the background. 
    4. At the bottom of the studio, click Record to start recording.
    5. Once done, in the upload monitoring panel, select Continue Editing.
      You’re redirected back to the editor, with your new recording already added to the timeline.Group 672972439.png
  • Using the transcript

    1. Log in to your Riverside account.

    2. Open a recording in the editor or upload an external file to start editing.

    3. Go to the transcript. 

    4. On the transcript, hover between paragraphs and click the + plus icon.
      • Or, at the top or bottom of the transcript, click Add +.
    5. Select record.png Record.
      This opens the studio that this project belongs to, while keeping the editor open in the background. 

    6. In the studio, click Record to start recording.
    7. Once done, in the upload monitoring panel, select Continue Editing.
      You’re redirected back to the editor, with your new recording already added to the timeline.

  • Using the timeline

    1. Log in to your Riverside account.
    2. Open a recording in the editor or upload an external file to start editing.
    3. On the timeline, make a split, or click between two sections.
    4. Hover your cursor where the two sections meet and click the + plus icon.
      • Or, at the beginning or end of the timeline, click the + plus icon.
    5. Select record.png Record.
      This opens the studio that this project belongs to, while keeping the editor open in the background. 

    6. In the studio, click Record to start recording.
    7. Once done, in the upload monitoring panel, select Continue Editing.
      You’re redirected back to the editor, with your new recording already added to the timeline.
