« To Individual track editing: Overview
With Magic Mute, anyone not speaking is automatically muted to improve sound quality, and remove ambient sound such as a noisy fan or other unwanted background noise.

Watch a video
For all tracks at once
- Log in to your Riverside account.
- Open a recording in the editor or upload an external file to start editing.
- On the toolbar, click AI Producer.
- Next to Magic Mute, click Apply.
All non-speaking portions of the recording are muted.
For separate tracks
- Log in to your Riverside account.
- Open a recording in the editor or upload an external file to start editing.
- At the bottom of the page, double click on the timeline to expand and view all individual speaker tracks.
Or click the Expand tracks button.
- Click on the specific track you want to apply Magic Mute to.
- In the top left of the timeline, click the Magic Tools button.
- Next to Magic Mute, click Apply.
All non-speaking parts of this individual track are muted.
Edit muted sections
Mutes are shown in the timeline as greyed out sections.
- After applying Magic Mute to an individual or the full track, zoom into the timeline until you see greyed out sections.
- Use the handles at the beginning or end of a greyed out section to drag inwards to shorten or outwards to lengthen the time the section is muted.
To revert any changes, click Undo, at the top of the editor.
