Remove captions in the editor

You can easily remove captions in the editor with a few simple clicks.

• Steps on a computer

  From the video frame

  1. Log in to your Riverside account.
  2. Open a recording in the editor or upload an external file to start editing.
  3. In the video frame, click on the caption text.
  4. Click the  Remove icon to delete the caption.
     This deletes all captions from the entire video.
     

  From the Captions panel

  1. Log in to your Riverside account.
  2. Open a recording in the editor or upload an external file to start editing.
  3. To the right, click Captions to open the Captions panel.
  4. At the bottom of the caption options, click Remove Captions.
     This deletes all captions from the entire video.
     

   

• Steps on a phone

  Currently, this feature is only available on the iOS app.

  1. Open a recording from the Riverside mobile app.
  2. In the video frame, tap the caption text.
  3. At the bottom of the screen, tap Remove to delete the caption.
     This will delete all captions from the video.

  

Good to know

• To remove specific lines from your captions, change the caption text to spaces or another empty character.
