Troubleshooting for:
- Visual effects causing video lag
- 'Video effects unavailable' message in the Studio
Your computer is having difficulty processing your virtual background in real-time.
Suggested Troubleshooting Steps:
- Connect your computer to a power source, if it is not already plugged in.
- If recording on a Windows computer, also try changing its power mode to Best Performance.
- Instead of using a background blur effect, upload a background image or pick from one from Riverside's collection.
- If using an external camera, turn off your camera's auto-exposure feature.
- If recording using the Chrome browser, try using Edge instead. Or if using Edge, try using Chrome.
- Switch to a different computer or use your mobile device to record.
The Studio's Host or Producer can also stop the recording and try reducing the default video recording quality or changing the frame rate to 24 FPS.
