Adjust duration of timeline asset in the Editor

After adding an element to the Editor like an image overlay or text overlay, you can control when it shows up in the video.

Step by step

  1. On a computer, log in to your Riverside account.
  2. In the ☰ menu on the left, click the relevant Studio.
  3. Click the relevant recording.
  4. In the top right corner, click Edit and choose + Create new edit.
Or scroll to Edits and click a Draft or magic-spark-icon.svg Magic Clip.
  1. Double-click the asset on the video canvas, or in the timeline or transcript click the image-icon.svg Image or type_T.svg Text icon.
A bar expands on the timeline to show the overlay's total duration.
  2. To change its duration, click and drag the overlay bar's start/end handles.
  3. To move it on the timeline, click and drag the bar.

You can also select part of the transcript before you add an overlay to give it a specific duration.
