Download transcript of edited recording

After editing your media, you can download the transcription that reflects all of the edits you’ve made, including cuts, rearrangements, and text corrections, as well as the recording's timestamps.

You can also download the transcript of the full recording, without any edits.

Step by step

  1. On a computer, log in to your Riverside account.
  2. In the ☰ menu on the left, click the relevant Studio.
  3. Click the relevant recording.
  4. In the top right corner, click Edit and choose + Create new edit.
    Or scroll to Edits and click a Draft or magic-spark-icon.svg Magic Clip.
IMPORTANT:
If you have already exported the recording, first copy.svg copy it to re-open it in the Editor.
  1. After making the desired changes to the media, click the ••• [the three dots] at the top of the transcript.
  2. On the menu, choose one of the two file formats:
    • Transcript (TXT) – for editing and repurposing the text
    • Subtitles (SRT) – for caption playback
    • or copy the transcript to your clipboard.download-edited-transcript.png

Transcriptions are not generated for audio played from a screen share, files played on the Media Board, or footage uploaded directly to the Editor.
