Publish my episode to Spotify

« To Riverside integrations: Overview

After you use Riverside to record and edit audio or video, publish your exported episodes for distribution using Spotify for Podcasters and create an RSS feed.

To create an episode directly on podcasters.spotify.com, follow the instructions here instead.

If you're exporting from the mobile app, you can only export audio-only recordings. From the web, you're able to export audio and video recordings.

Step by step

  1. Log in to your Riverside account.
  2. In the ☰ menu on the left, click the relevant studio.
  3. Click the relevant project.
  1. Open a recording in the Editor or upload an external file to start editing.
  2. Once you've made your edits, export it.
    You are redirected to the projects page where your recording starts exporting.
  3. On the project page, under Edits, click on the edit labeled Exported.
    The  Publish Clip page opens.
  4. Click the Spotify logo.

  5. Click Publish to Spotify.
    The Spotify for Podcasters page opens in a new tab.
  6. Click Get started.
  7. Log into Spotify or create a new account to enter Spotify for Podcasters.
    Your edited recording uploads as a draft episode on podcasters.spotify.com's Create episode page.
  8. Under Episode Details, enter metadata like the episode's title, description, and publish date.
  9. Click Next.

  10. Add an optional Q&A or poll, then click Next.

  11. Review the details, then click Publish / Schedule.
    Spotify creates a new episode of your podcast for each clip you publish.

Spotify displays video episodes in 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio in its app. You can change your clip's aspect ratio in the Editor.
