Async: Use the teleprompter

If the person who invited you to record yourself on Riverside provided a prompt or script, you can view and control it while you record. 

Step by step

Follow the steps below based on if you're using a computer or your mobile device.

  • Async: Use the teleprompter from a computer

    1. Use your invite link to enter the studio and choose your mic and camera.
    2. At the bottom of the screen, click script-icon.svg Teleprompter.
      The text displays in a transparent layer over your video.
    3. Hover over the teleprompter text:
      Click Text-plus.svg andText-minus.svg to change text size.
      Click scroll-speed-teleprompter.svg Scroll Speed and drag the slider to adjust the pace of the auto-scroll.
      Click start-scroll-teleprompter.svg Start to begin auto-scrolling the text.
      Click teleprompter-restart.svg Restart to return to the top of the script.
      Click pop-out-teleprompter.svg Pop out to move the teleprompter to a new window.

    4. Click the x-close.svg exit icon to close the teleprompter panel.
  • Async: Use the teleprompter from a phone

    1. Download and launch the Riverside iOS app or the Riverside Android app.
    2. Use your invite link to enter the studio.
    3. Tap the script-icon.svg script icon at the bottom left corner of the screen.
      The text displays in a transparent layer over your video.
    4. Tap the teleprompter-restart.svg Restart icon to return to the top of the script.
    5. Tap the start-scroll-teleprompter.svg Start icon to begin auto-scrolling the text.
    6. Tap thesettings-04.svg Settings icon:
      • Tap Speed and drag the slider to set the auto-scroll pace.
      • Tap Text size and drag the slider to adjust text size
      • Toggle Auto-start to automatically start scrolling when you tap Record.
      • Toggle Focus Mode to hide the camera feed for distraction-free recording.
    7. Click the script-icon.svg script icon again to close it.
