Riverside creates an Aligned audio track (WAV file) only when your Studio is set to record audio only. Download the tracks in the Recording files section of the recording session's dashboard.
However, if you already recorded, you can still align the WAV file in your offline editor. Use the Aligned video file that has the correct padding as a guide to line up the audio assets on the project's timeline.
Step by step
- On Riverside, download the Aligned video (MP4) file/s.
- Add the Aligned video file/s to the sequence timeline in your offline editor.
- Locate where the data begins in the file, based on its waveform or thumbnail.
- On Riverside, download the Raw audio (WAV) file/s.
- Add the Raw Audio file/s to the sequence timeline in your offline editor.
- On the timeline, drag and align the Raw audio track with the matching Aligned video track.
- Mute the Aligned video track or remove its audio layer.
You can also use Quicktime to export the Aligned video (MP4) track as an audio-only track or use Handbrake to re-encode the file without the video data. Then, follow steps 2-6 above to place the audio-only track in your editor and align the Raw audio (WAV) track with it.
