Use Riverside's built-in teleprompter to smoothly read notes or a script during a recording or a live stream. The text automatically scrolls at your preferred pace so you can easily read it aloud while keeping your focus on the session.

Step by step
Follow the steps below based on if you're using a computer or your mobile device.

Launch the teleprompter from a computer
- Join a studio session as the host or producer.

At the bottom of the screen, click
Script.
- Type or paste your text in the script box.
- At the bottom of the script box, click
Teleprompter.
The teleprompter text is superimposed over the participants' video tiles. - Click the
Start icon to begin auto-scrolling the text.
Press Spacebar to turn the auto-scroll on and off or use your mouse or trackpad to scroll manually. - Click
Scroll Speed and drag the slider to adjust the pace of the auto-scroll.
The estimated total reading time appears above the slider. - Click
Restart to return to the top of the script.
- Click
Pop out to move the teleprompter to a new window.
The Host and any Producers can make edits to the text simultaneously.

Launch the teleprompter from your phone
- Download and launch the Riverside iOS app or the Riverside Android app.
- Tap Record, then tap Join.
- Tap the
script icon at the bottom of the screen.
- At the top of the screen, type script or paste in text from another source.
- Tap Save.
- Tap the
Restart icon to return to the top of the script.
- Tap the
Start icon to begin auto-scrolling the text.
- Tap the
Settings icon:

- Tap Speed and drag the slider to set the auto-scroll pace.
- Tap Text size and drag the slider to adjust text size
- Toggle Auto-start to automatically start scrolling when you tap Record.
- Toggle Focus Mode to hide the camera feed for distraction-free recording.
- Toggle Share to display the teleprompter each participant's screen.
When disabled, the teleprompter will only be visible on the host's screen.
