Remove silences from a recording automatically (set pace)

Use the Editor's AI tools to cut all the pauses, gaps, and silences identified in your recording with one click. This can make your content feel faster-paced and more engaging.

You can also remove specific silences one by one.

Step by Step

  1. On a computer, log in to your Riverside account.
  2. Open a recording in the Editor or upload an external file to start editing.
  3. On the toolbar, click AI Producer.
  4. Click Set pace.
  5. Drag the slider to adjust the amount of pauses included in the clip. 
  6. Next to Apply to screenshares & media, check the box to remove silences during screenshares and videos played during the recording. (optional)
    Please note that checking this box may cause cuts in your shared media wherever pauses are removed.
  7. Click Apply.

To restore all the pauses, click revert-edit.svg the Undo button at the top of the page or choose a different pace.

To restore a specific silence or pause, find it in the transcript—represented by ••• [one to three dots]. Click a pause, and select revert-edit.svg the Restore button.
