Remove pauses and silences

Use the editor's AI tools to cut all the pauses, gaps, and silences identified in your recording with one click. This can make your content feel faster-paced and more engaging.

You can also remove specific silences one by one.

Step by Step

1. On a computer, log in to your Riverside account.
2. Open a recording in the editor or upload an external file to start editing.
3. On the editor toolbar, click AI Producer.
4. Click Remove pauses.
5. Drag the slider to adjust the amount of pauses included. 
6. Next to Apply to screenshares & media, check the box to remove silences during screenshares and videos played during the recording. (optional)
   Please note that checking this box may cause cuts in your shared media wherever pauses are removed.
7. You can also click Apply to remove all pauses and silences. 

Restore all pauses

1. On the editor toolbar, click AI Producer.
2. Under Remove pauses, click Revert to original. 

Restore a specific silence or pause

1. Find the pause in the transcript, represented by ••• [one to three dots].
2. Click the pause, then select Restore.
