How can I minimize data usage when recording on a mobile device or using a mobile hotspot?

Take the following steps to minimize data usage when recording on a mobile device or using a mobile hotspot:

  • Change the Studio’s recording quality to 720p (or 1080p, at the most) to limit the overall amount data sent to Riverside.
  • Enable manual upload control so the Host can pause the user’s upload to balance bandwidth usage during the call.
  • If neither of the above suggestions work, enable low data mode to turn off everyone’s video during the live call. The resulting files will still have video.
