Remove filler words

Remove distracting filler words like "um", "so", "uh", from your recording to improve the flow of your conversation in a single click.

You can also remove or restore these sounds individually to find the sweet spot between thoughtful and rehearsed.

Remove filler words

  1. Log in to your Riverside account.
  2. Open a recording in the editor or upload an external file to start editing.
  1. On the editor toolbar, click AI Producer.
  2. Next to Remove filler words, click Apply.
    Filler words, like um, uh, and uh, are cut from the recording's timeline.

Restore all filler words

  1. On the editor toolbar, click AI Producer.
  2. Under Remove filler words, click Revert to original

Restore a specific filler word

  1. To restore or delete a specific filler word to the recording, find it in the transcript—represented by a filler-word-squiggle.svg symbol.
  2. Click the scribble symbol filler-word-squiggle.svg, and then select revert-edit.svg Restore.Screenshot 2024-06-06 at 13.47.47.png

Icon.svg Good to know

  • Filler words are not cut out of the recording if they occur while someone is sharing their screen, a presentation, or a media board file.
  • You can apply Remove filler words to all recordings created or uploaded after 10 May 2024.
