Auto-start the recording

Change your studio's settings so the recording session starts automatically as soon as a guest joins the studio. This way, you won't need to click record.

Before a studio session

  1. Log in to your Riverside account.
  2. If you have multiple studios, select the relevant studio.
  3. From the sidebar on the left, click Settings
  4. From the tabs at the top, click Recording.
  5. Scroll down to Recording Start.
  6. Next to Automatically start recording, toggle toggle-on.svg on to enable it. 
    When the toggle is on, all future recordings automatically begin when the first guest joins the studio.

During a studio session

  1. Join a studio session as the host or producer.
  2. Stop the current recording.
  3. At the top of the page, click the settings icon.
  1. Click All settings at the bottom of the panel.
  2. Click Recording.
  3. Scroll down to Recording Start.
  4. Next to Automatically start recording, toggle toggle-on.svg on to enable it. 
    When the toggle is on, all future recordings automatically begin when the first guest joins the studio.

Icon.svg Good to know

  • Auto-start also applies to live streaming.
  • The studio only starts automatically recording if the host joins the studio before a guest enters. Enable the waiting room so the host is always in the studio before any guests.
  • The recording does not auto-start if a producer or audience member joins the studio.
  • When this setting enabled, the host cannot start the session with a test recording.
