« To Best recording practices: Overview

To hear the audio from Riverside on your Windows PC, the computer's audio output device must be the same one you chose in the Riverside Studio. Follow the steps below to change your audio output on your PC.

Step by step

  1. In the Windows taskbar, right-click the Speakers windows_speakers-volume-2.svg icon.
  2. Click the arrow to see all connected audio devices.
  3. Under Select playback device, choose the same output you selected in the Riverside Studio.
We recommend using headphones when recording on Riverside.

For example, if your headphones are connected to the computer directly, choose Speaker/Headphone Realtek Audio.

If your headphones are connected to external equipment, like through a microphone or audio interface, select that device. For example, Headphones (RODE NT-USB Mini).
