What FPS does Riverside record in?

The default frame rate for participant tracks recorded on a computer is 24 FPS (frames per second), not 23.97 or 23.98 FPS.

On a Riverside Business plan, you can change your studio's frame rate to 25 FPS or 29.97 FPS, which effects the frame rate of the raw video and aligned video high-quality track files.

Videos exported from the editor are always in 24 FPS, despite the studio's FPS setting.

FPS for recordings on MacOS

  • If you share your screen using the MacOS desktop app, you receive high quality separate tracks for screen shares.
  • The frame rate for screen shares on the MacOS app is 24 FPS, and Business plan users can adjust it to 25 FPS or 29.97 FPS.
